Hello
My name is Mary, and I’m proud to be part of the MenSafe team. I’m currently studying psychology at Western Governors University and plan to pursue my master’s in counseling after graduation. Mental, physical, and emotional wellness have always been close to my heart, and I’m passionate about helping others find peace, strength, and healing.
Being part of MenSafe allows me to support a mission I truly believe in—one that uplifts survivors and builds safer communities. I’m honored to be doing this work.
My Story
I was born in Taiwan and adopted into a loving home in Charlottesville, Virginia. From a young age, I was drawn to understanding people—their emotions, their experiences, and their healing journeys. That’s what led me to study psychology, with hopes of becoming a counselor one day.
Outside of my studies, I’m someone who thrives in creativity and connection. I love playing the flute and mandolin, crocheting, hiking, and caring for my ever-growing collection of plants and animals. These simple joys keep me grounded and remind me of the beauty in everyday life.
At MenSafe, I bring my full heart to the work we do. I believe everyone has something meaningful to offer the world, and I strive to show up with compassion, curiosity, and a commitment to listening. Supporting survivors and strengthening our communities here in Virginia is more than just a role—it’s a purpose I hold close.
